I was skeptical when a salesman in a backpacking/hiking specialty store recommended Superfeet as a possible remedy for chronic knee and lower back pain, but figured it was worth a try after being fitted for new hiking boots. Now I use Superfeet in every pair of shoes I wear. My knee pain and lower back pain has subsided substantially, and now, at age 55, I'm hiking 15-20 miles per week over rugged, mountainous terrain with minimal discomfort. Recently I wore a pair of casual shoes several days without fitting them with Superfeet, and almost immediately noticed an increase in knee pain. After using Superfeet Green for many years, I tried Superfeet Orange in a new pair of hiking boots - same support, with an added pad for the ball of the foot. These may seem a little pricey compared to gel-type insoles, but the superiority in performance makes Superfeet a bargain, and they are so durable that they may outlast the shoes they're worn in.
Bad knees? Try these! July 23, 2010 Richard L. Henry (Churchton, Md United States) I've bad knees since surgery in 1979. Over the years my knees have gotten worse (I'm now 66). I've owned the orange inserts for over a year. I now find myself switching the inserts from my winter boots to my summer shoes. Nothing I have tried over the years have worked so well. Highly recommended!
