The York County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is a collaboration of nonprofit agencies, houses of worship, students, and groups interested in assisting the community during a disaster.  These organizations may not operate as disaster organizations such as the Red Cross or Salvation Army. 

Most of these organizations provide services beyond their normal service delivery in times of a disaster.  These services ranges from shelter and comfort stations to organizing volunteers and donations.  Anyone can help prepare for and recover from disaster.  Volunteers like you are needed to be a part of VOAD and to volunteer for these organizations.  Get involved - be part of the solution!
